For a busy professional couple earlier this summer who hired me to design a compete renovation plan for the outdated facade of their forever home, I started with a color palette of creamy tones of taupe and accents of deep bronzes.

I gave them a proposal to replace the vinyl siding with Hardie Board, exterior and landscape lighting, replacing the double hung wood frame windows for dark bronze metal casements, adding board and batten stained shutters, a new shingle roof and accent metal roofing in strategic areas, along with a front entry design change and carriage style garage door. 

A timeless and elegant monochromatic palette with a variety of harmonizing textures and classic architectural elements was the end result.
