Moody Pink

Delicate, bold, vibrant, glorious.

Oriental pink poppies.*

Inspired by Walasse Ting and with some digital manipulation, I love how these flowers have transformed since I first photographed them several years ago with my Canon G10.  I am planning to use these in the Design House I am participating in this Spring and will print them on large scale gallery wrapped canvases.  {I will share the photos of the space when it's complete.}

As soon as I see the artist's proofs, I will be offering them for sale in my Etsy, Society6, and Zazzle shops.

 A lesson...never delete practice photos.  You never know what may come of them.

By the way, what do you think of my new logo and banner?  I thought after six and a half years it was time for an update and change.

Enjoy!

*These hibiscus remind me so much of Oriental poppies with their colour and delicate petals that I decided to take artistic license with my photos and re-name the blooms!

New Year's Wishes

Wishing all of you out there, who stop by every once in a while and especially those of you who stop by all the time {I so appreciate your loyalty}, a very Happy New Year.

I always enjoy the start of a new year - it's a fresh start, a time to forget what got messed up last year, and begin again.

What creative plans do you have for the year?  I have several which I will share with you as the months pass in 2015.  In the meantime, for those of you in the frosty weather, stay warm, and for everyone else...

Happy New Year to YOU!

Ciao amici,
Suzanne
