The season is about to change from summer to autumn and I am so looking forward to the cooler weather...and playing in the garden with the new fall plants and flowers. The traditional and standard autumn bloom, the chrysanthemum, I am not crazy about ~ well maybe the white ones that look like little daisies ~ so I am always on the lookout for alternative fall flowers.
I just came in from the garden after planting some white daisies in a pot for my terrace and some "monkey grass" in some spots that needed some help around the yard.

I fell in love with these luscious golden yellow gerbera daisies I saw at the market and thought they would look so pretty and stunning in our pale yellow, black and white bedroom ~ so I brought them home. (These are just a few ~ the rest were mixed with some gorgeous yellow roses that I placed around the house!)

Take a little time my friends to stop and smell the flowers.

Cara Suzanne,
I do smell the gerbera! And the arrangement! Complimenti! With the BLACK & WHITE checked seat "in fondo" - what a dramatic scene! The flowers are in this way an immediate attraction. This is minimalism incarnated. Brava ragazza! Give us som more....
A presto, Bacione, Ingrid
Suzanne,
I found you via Jenn at Sweet Eye Candy. Welcome to blogland from one Italian girl in Massachusetts. Come by and visit me sometime. I think you just might enjoy my blog!
It's a pleasure to meet you my friend.
Cathy
Thank you for reminding us all to stop and smell the flowers :) The colors of the yellow flowers look beautiful against your chair. Tell me, is there a fun story to go with that chair?? :)
(P.S. I've done some much-procrastinated "housecleaning" on the blog, and you are now officially in my blogroll for artists I heart!)
Gerbera is a lovely flower and these yellow ones are beautiful. I really like them together with your checked chair.

Thank you ALL for your lovely comments...it is a pleasure to know you.
Grace, I found that gorgeous antique chair at the Alameda Antique Fair in the Bay Area and purchased it a few months before I moved across country. It was in nearly perfect condition so all I had to do was add the cushion! I just love it.
Hugs to all of you!
