My Locks for Love

Four years ago I made the decision to grow out my locks for love.

My hair has not been this long since I was a little girl.  I have loved having it long again, but now it's time for someone else to "love" it.  I have ten inches to give away and am cutting these wavy strands tomorrow to send in a care package to Locks of Love.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Locks of Love, it is a non-profit organization that uses donated hair to create high quality wigs for financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada.  Most, but not all, of the children who benefit from the donations have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, for which there is no known cause or cure.

It is my hope that a child will regain his or her self-esteem, confidence, and feel beautiful wearing a wig made with some of my hair.

I am ready to have a new "do" too!

Thanks for your visit.

Ciao amici,
Suzanne
