A Walk on the Wild Side...

...of blackberries.

The other evening after dinner, and after our familiar late summer afternoon thundershower, the sun was glowing as it set, but before it did we went for a short walk.  Across the street towards the railroad tracks, entangled in kudzu and wisteria vines, are masses of wild blackberries.

With colanders in our hands we plucked the ripe wild blackberries off their vines and came home with enough to share.

They are the tiniest berries, and a little tart, but I am sure they will be scrumptious smothered in fresh whipped cream and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.

I think that this may become a habit.

{I'm so pleased with how these photographs turned out. I used a slightly different setting on my camera then I usually do and...allora, snap, just right - no retouching necessary!}

Thank you for your visit.
