Sharing some floral inspiration and a favorite painting from my "Boho Blooms" collection.
= Raindrops on Roses =

Watercolor and gouache on stretched canvas was my chosen medium. Then I fooled around and tilted the canvas while it was saturated with puddles of paint. The effect created this background that was almost ethereal and added so much depth to the painting, which would have otherwise been very one-dimensional.
Playing a little adding some gold leaf to the finished painting gave the roses a glow.

With this painting I created some delicate pattern designs of tiny rosebuds and vines for fabric and wallpaper.
