Black Velvet...

...black lace, rhinestones, and pearls.

In the dim light of the moon pouring through the windows...

my dressed up black and white Halloween puts a spin on the traditional orange, purple, and black colours.

This proud ivory crow sports a dashing rhinestone necktie while surrounded by black lace and cream coloured squash, oops, pumpkins.

With all this black and white inspiration surrounding me, I came up with some pretty jewelry totes that I made this week.

Each is made with black linen and white cotton twill.  I used a pretty linen blouse that I no longer wore to get the soft scalloped edges on the top of each tote.

Then of course, I had to add one of my signature cotton {and linen} millinery flowers each hand stitched with a mother of pearl button, to the front of each bag.

A polka dot grosgrain ribbon tie and loop cinches the tote at the top, while a pretty black organza bow, silver quilting pin, cotton tag with a crown and tiara hand stamped in black ink on each finish the precious jewelry purse perfectly.

I will be listing these in my Etsy shop this week and they will also be available on My Front Porch.

Meanwhile, the witchy woman of the house pulls her white pearls out of one of the jewelry bags and begins adorning herself with all the prettiest accessories ~ including a flouncy white ruffled skirt and black velvet vest with sparkly buttons.

She's ready to fly!

OOOPS!

Poor Gal, lost her way in the moonlight.

After she recovers, I am sure she will have more to tell you in the coming days...

Have a fun week friends and in the meantime while we rescue the witchy woman, be sure to visit all the fabulous "White Wednesday" blogs.
