Winter Wonderland ~ New Christmas Ornaments

It's frosty outside and these pretty hand made winter white Christmas ornaments are the newest addition to my Etsy shop.

Recently, through my interior design work I acquired piles of discontinued and beautiful wall paper books.  My favorite book was that of this gorgeous matelasse style snow white embossed paper.  The white on white patterns were perfect for me to use for my Winter Wonderland collection of Christmas ornaments.

With a pencil, scissors, and some other "tools of the trade" in my hands and on my work table, I got busy...

Two Turtle Doves flew into the room with shimmery gold organza bows around their necks and stars in their eyes and somehow found their way into the Twelve Days of Christmas Etsy treasury just moments after they landed in my shop.

Then I made a pair of cozy mittens to warm my hands...

Each mitten is beautifully embellished with white seam binding ribbon ties, gold cord laces, organza rosettes

A petit vintage gold jingle bell even adds some music.

Angels were watching over me as I cut out each shape...

With their five golden rings adorning their necks and organza roses and ribbons on their wings, the angels were ready to fly!

{Look at the detail of this paper ~ so pretty!}

I have also made some gold scroll hooks to use to hang each ornament if you choose not to use the ribbon ties.

These are made from re-purposed wire hangers ~ each is unique and hand wrought, then painted in antique gold

This pair of boots have already skated their way into two Etsy treasuries.

The ice skates are laced up with a gold organza ribbon and the scalloped edge top of the boot is fussed up with an organza rosette.

The "blades" of the skates were also hand wrought from a re-purposed wire hanger and painted antique gold.  A vintage jingle bell floats on the wire.

These are fabulous tree or garland decorations, gift tags, or place cards. Both sides are finished with the embossed paper, so you can write a note on the back.

They are adorable tied to the backs of dining chairs or door knobs and look beautiful displayed with the entire Winter Wonderland collection too!
They are sold in sets of two and each comes with a pair of scroll hooks.  Each piece is one~of~a~kind and they are now available in my Etsy shop.

Happy Wintery Weekend to All!

Ciao amici,
Suzanne
