The Sweet Smell...

...of a Southern Summer.

As the unofficial start of the summer begins this weekend, in my garden the fragrance of baby gardenias, crepe myrtle, mock orange blossoms, and magnolias...

and more magnolias...

and even more magnolias...

flow in the warm breeze and has become the perfume I inhale every morning and throughout the warm days.

The velvety petals and sugary white over-sized blooms on the towering magnolia trees are lusciously sweet.

Late spring and early summer always treats us with these candy flower blooms.

While spring is so lush and colourful, the hot summer sun is cooled by these refreshingly pure white flowers throughout our garden.

Enjoy your days and stay cool my friends!

Ciao amici,
Suzanne

Cara Suzanne,

Passion! That is what it is all about. Opening your senses. You know the secret of enjoying life. Your pictures are the evidence. Stunning. You send the perfumes all the way to my garden in Umbria. What a bliss! Bacione e buon fine settimana, Ingrid

We've got our gardenias bursting out too! The fragrance is so heady.

Cara Ingrid ~
You are so kind with your descriptive words about me...I need to remind myself to always think this way!

Thank you both for taking a peek at my early summer garden.

Ciao belle,
Suzanne
