A Passion for Peaches

I have had a passion for peaches these last few weeks of the summer…the Georgia peaches have all been harvested and the trees are bare. Now we are enjoying my favorite California peaches ~ so big and juicy and sweet! We have been eating them every morning, every day!

This beauty sits in a pretty bowl our little boy hand painted for us.

This is the last one...I am off to Fresh Market for some more and
I am going to try this yummy recipe this weekend…

PEACH CRISP
Serves Six
~ ~ ~

6 large peaches, peeled and sliced to 1/2 inch
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup softened butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Butter an eight inch square baking pan.
Place peach slices in the pan. Mix remaining ingredients well and
sprinkle over the peaches. Bake 30 minutes.

Serve hot with ice cream or cold with fresh whipped cream. Enjoy!

Yummm...thank you for sharing this recipe! It's great timing, as I just recieved some fresh peaches in my local CSA box, and this summer weekend calls for a try for this recipe!

I love peaches, both the lovely taste and the soft colours.
I have an award for you on my blog.
